Thank you for bearing with me through the pump-induced insanity. Your insights are all wise and welcome, and I still haven’t come to any firm resolution. However, I’m gradually (again) approaching (again) acceptance (again). And I’ll try not to let it dominate my thoughts or this blog again, so I think I’ll just leave it at that for now.
SO! Today is day #1 out of a 14 day stretch of call. FOURTEEN! That’s 336 hours, for those keeping track, and I have completed a whole . . . 13/336 thus far. I thought perhaps it would be kind of fun — well, my kind of fun anyway — to try to post every day of those 14. Even if I don’t have any brilliant insights to share, I’ll at least post:
* any workout completed (because I really do need the motivation/accountability lately!)
* something interesting I read/listened to that day
* one positive thing about the day
* a picture
Sort of a like a very micro Project Life of sorts — we’ll just call it Project Survive-Two-Straight-Weeks-of-24/7-Call.
Let’s begin!
————————————————————————–
day 1/14
workout: barre3 total body rev (30 minutes)
interesting: freakonomics podcast on takeru kobayashi, hot dog competitive eating champion
positive: one of the medical assistants telling me that she liked when I was on call because I kept things relaxed and calm. I am not necessarily so calm inside, but I’m really glad it seems that way.

because we went to the airport at 4am that morning!)

I love Anabel waving her flag!! So adorable!
Thanks for the shout-out! It was great to run with you in person…even if I was slow!
May the force be with you over the next 14 days and good on you for being an oasis of calm.
I wilt badly after one day and am a crazed wreck after a weekend….
