Last month, I decided that I was ready for some official wardrobe remediation. The whole having babies thing really threw my closet for a loop. SO I decided that I would give myself a clothing allowance of 1 casual outfit AND 1 work outfit per month for the time being, in the interest of rebuilding.
I ended up ordering from Boden last month and the picks worked out so well (good fit, high quality) that I chose Boden again! (It helped that they are having a sale. HOWEVER this just led me to pick out some things for A&C too because I LOVE their kids’ clothes. Ahh well.) Maybe someday I’ll get Josh to do a little fashion shoot with last month’s picks, but for right now I’ll just show the things I picked out.
hotchpotch pattern sweater
“The Shirt” in blue blush garden birds
stripe pocket tee
60s mini
(I ordered a regular non-petite size because I’m aiming for an age/work-appropriate hemline)
To complete my “casual” outfit I really want a pair of yellow or golden-colored skinny cords. I don’t know why, but I just see myself in yellow cords all fall/winter this year. I didn’t buy these but will be on the lookout for something similar at a better price (Gap?).

In other news: I was featured in Julia’s Moms Making It Work series this week! I had been reading this series for a few months when I was asked to participate — so cool. She even made me this awesome graphic 🙂 Thank you Julia!
