We’re going to Disney World today for a 3-day weekend! It’s our first family trip there (but likely not the last — we do live in FL, so it’s sort of a given that we head to ORL every few years at least). I have been looking forward to blowing A’s mind with the splendor that is Cinderella’s castle for months now. Here’s to hoping the experience lives up to all of the anticipation.
Liiiiiiiittle hiccup is that Josh was up all night operating. (Like, he arrived home at 4am). I also am not sure he is done, despite the fact that we are due to leave in 2 hours. Looking for inner strength not to freak out when things are not going quite according to plan . . .
Hopefully I can drive to Orlando (A will hopefully amuse herself with movies so that I can listen to podcasts!) and Josh & Cameron can nap and then we can arrive with enough time and energy to enjoy the day.
I realize that I wrote about committing to daily blogging and then failed. Guess what? My “Moment” minutes are at some ridiculous levels as well. My life just doesn’t have much wiggle room, so when unexpected things happen everything kind of rolls downhill and I just have to let things go (thanks Elsa) for a little while.
On the opposite side of the goal/habits spectrum,

Good luck with the trip! Even though we live in Orlando now, we’ve been hesitant to take the kids to Disney until they are older (5 and 3 maybe?). Hope you have a great time, and I’d appreciate any tips you have once you get back.
Have a fabulous time!!! I love Disney World. Not ready to take my kids yet, but I LOVED it at all ages.
Can I ask about how you distinguish between ‘good’ phone use and ‘bad’ phone use? Or if you do? I guess I’m just thinking about all the things I do on my phone that are good and I try to do more of (messaging with friends, flashcards on the Anki app, listening to audiobooks, tracking my runs, tracking my expenses…) and the ‘bad’ (mostly checking email too much and getting sucked into a twitter vortex…I’ve just deleted the app!) Sounds like reducing use and being more mindful of you use has been very positive for you though 🙂
