Current everyday systems discussed in the episode:

(NOTE: A few affiliate links used below)

  • Erin Condren Life Planner – weekly/monthly with hourly layout, slate blue vegan leather cover – hard landscape + weekly / monthly to do lists –
  • the &Studium Undated Study Daily Planner – Coil Bound – $20 at Honeypress NC, still available in some colors
  • Previously was using Full Focus (now used up, and will likely toggle back to this at some point!)
  • Abandoned Simplified before I even started.  Annabel wants to use it . . .
  • Cultivate What Matters undated 6-month edition for goal setting though admittedly July was sort of . . . abandoned, it was a tough month (bad excuse!)
  • 5 year Hobonichi
  • Mildliners, Pentel Energel Clena + Uni Jetstreams
  • Apple notes app for quarterly + longer range lists + organizing work goals (& Pod stuff!)

The &Studium Undated Study Planner

  • “Study planner” concept
  • Undated
  • 13.5cm (5.3”) x 20cm (8”) – slightly smaller than A5
  • Flip through
  • Paper – quite smooth and a bit smudge-prone.  Reminds me of Kokuyu Mio paper (in the Jibun Techo Biz)
  • More ball point than gel pen friendly to me
  • Mildliners have mild bleed through but not bad
  • Small page packs a punch!  I can list . . .
    • Daily habits
    • Meals/workout
    • Screen time minutes (section for sleep, screen time, steps)
    • media – ie podcasts, books, etc
    • my schedule along the “time track” section
  • goal section up top is boxed in a calming color scheme
  • Weekly review page – you can have a graph, or put gratitude there, etc
  • Weekly plan page – super functional grid layout

Yay to BLP season 3 ! Nice review on the &Studium planner, and a good insight into how even a study planner could be perfectly repurposed.

About the listener question at the end of the episode … Some ideas :
    1. Plan to come back to a clean house. i.e. try to keep the house clean before leaving for a vacation.
    2. As Sarah pointed out, grocery shopping can be done online during vacation or during the trip back home, so that some shopping trips can be avoided after reaching home.
    3. Plan to order food or make some easy quick recipes for a day or two until other things are sorted.
    4. If possible, try and finish off doing all laundry on a single day OR decide not to fret over piled up laundry and know that it will get in order sooner or later.
    5. Try and schedule some time for sharing vacation photos with family and friends 😊

Sarah, does this have a monthly plan anywhere in it?

I don’t like the fact that it’s undated (and the coil!) but otherwise this looks like it would be really good for me….. but if it’s also lacking monthly I’d need two planners.

Are you going to do planner matching again? I could use some help 😉

I just ordered a Wonderland 222 + the daily notebook. It will arrived in the next month or so, so I am excited to get my hands on it and to start using it in November. I haven’t had a true planner since 2016. I’ve been using a bullet journal since 2017 which worked well but after following your approach over the last several years, I think I’m ready for a true planner again. I am hoping it’s a good fit. I was feeling tempted to maximize and look into ALLLLL the products but decided I need to satisfize this decision and if i don’t love it, I will go a different route in 2023. I’d also love to be part of a planner matching for 2023 (unless I absolutely end up loving the wonderland)!

I’m so excited for you! I love the wonderland system. I hope it ends up being a great fit!

Another suggestion for the Q about coming back after a vacation: Before you leave, plan for the days when you return. I always plan ahead for the days until the weekend when I can regroup. Think ahead to what you will need. That could be an Instacart order, like SHU suggested, planning to do takeout, or having a few groceries in the house that will be fine to eat when you get back. Laundry, make sure to have outfits ready. And know what activities/commitments await you. It’s not a full planning session, but enough to prevent feeling behind.

The link to the &Studium Undated Study Daily Planner does not seem to work anymore?
