Ep #220: How a Full Time Academic + Mother of 5 Gets it Done (with Joy!), Featuring Sarah Jedd

October 14, 2024

Welcome Sarah from Harry Times!!

In today’s episode, I had a blast interviewing Sarah Jedd — or, as many blog readers know her, Sarah from harrytimes!! Sarah works full time as teaching faculty at UW (official title: Teaching Faculty in Rhetoric, Politics, and Culture), and is the mother of 5 amazing kids ages 4 to 18! She’s also been blogging (old school style) since 2006! She does A LOT, manages a lot, and clearly has a blast while doing it.

Sarah chronicling her recent Cool Bloggers Walking Club adventures

Sarah (J!) shares her planning and life management tactics, from her personal daily planning ritual to her incredibly simple-yet-effective family management technique plus some discussion of her favorite budget and goal setting tactics.

It was so much fun to finally connect and chat together!!

Awww. I’m listening to the podcast episode RIGHT THIS SECOND. I adore Sarah Jedd (and literally cannot get over how much she juggles and with so much joy), have been reading her blog for several years and it was so fun to have these two “Internet-Sarah-friends” intersect worlds. SO FUN.

I agree with Jenny – her voice sounded just like I imagined it would! She has a lot of energy and pep. I cannot say the same about myself. Ha. I bet she is a really fun professor to have!

I loved this episode! My daughter is a freshman at Sarah’s university and I kept thinking how much I’d love for her to have Sarah as a professor!
