. . . arrived on our doorstep as we arrived home from the event I wanted to wear it to.
The funny thing is that if it had arrived last night, I probably would have worn it and enjoyed wearing it.
But it didn’t come in time, so I ultimately wore something else (old Perisfor wrap dress to the rescue, AGAIN). My first impression was mostly positive, but then I decided I didn’t love it enough to justify keeping. It mostly fit (it was a little big overall but the belt did a nice cinching job) and the fabric itself was kind of HEAVY! The heaviness made it feel fancy/high quality, but I’m in FL. A heavy/hot outfit definitely limits the use cases. And the top was just a tiny bit too buttoned up for me.
Finally, the surgery holiday part is at a brewery and this dress is not saying ‘brewery’ to me. I don’t really have any other fancy events coming up in the near future.
SO: I boxed it up and filled out the return form. It is on my doorstep ready for USPS drop off.
The color WAS great. You can’t really tell in the pic above, but I do love dark green (and how it looks with my hair, ha). So I will continue to look for dresses in that color
Okay, just wanted to close the loop there!!!
The event itself was really nice, the kids behaved through a LONG service (whew), and I don’t plan on getting anything productive done today. About to curl up on the couch with Culpability and it’s also possible I will fall asleep.

Ha, yes I agree that dress doesn’t really say “brewery!” I hope you can find something else you love in the same color.
That is too bad that the dress didn’t arrive in time… the color looks really nice, but it does seem a little “heavy”… so I am glad you were able to return it (and had something else to wear ;))
