Ep #319: Routines Deep Dive + Weekend Planning Challenges

September 7, 2026

SHOW NOTES

Today’s episode is all about routines! First, I answer a listener question around weekend planning – how to avoid feeling like the time was wasted without locking yourself in to too many scheduled activities?

Then, I move on to ROUTINES — why they deserve attention, and a wide variety of routines you might not have thought about (from your “getting ready” routine to your shutdown ritual).

Mentioned: FREE 2-session seminar on time management for healthcare providers that I’m conducting with two other physicians – info here!

I enjoyed this episode. A good reminder about routines and how they truly alleviate the stress and the load we carry. I love my morning routine and evening routine. I also get ready for bed while the kids are getting ready for bed so that I am all set when they are actually IN bed and can start reading.
