so much to say

1 year and 1 day ago, annabel came into the world.

i did love her then, and as someone with basic familiarity with babies, i sort of guessed what we were in for.

but i never grasped how that love would blossom and swell.  how much josh and i would learn and grow as we progressed from a couple to a family.   how we would get to KNOW this little person so fully.  and how the tiniest little gestures and habits would fill us with delight every day, because she is our annabel and we love her so much. 

happy birthday, miss annabel.  we love you.

with you, the colors of our lives all seem brighter.

we gave you a cupcake . . . but you will always be our muffin.
