so long, farewell

October 29, 2004

my rotation is over tomorrow! i’m feeling a mixture of disappointment (that i won’t be able to finish the work i started) and relief (that i’ll be able to concentrate on studying for the boards and get them over with). recently, i’ve been missing clinical medicine. kind of funny, because all i wanted was for my clinical rotations to be OVER FOREVER just a few months ago.

but it was fun to work up interesting cases (unless there was anything gross involved) . . .

and i liked working with the patients (as long as they were nice to me) . . .

and i even miss writing SOAP notes and being pimped in some incredibly perverse way. basically, i’m crazy.

josh and i just received another wedding invite in the mail yesterday. that means FIVE between now and june. these aren’t trivial little weddings, either. i am a bridesmaid in 2 of them (1 purple dress, 1 black), and these weddings include both josh’s brother and sister (no, not to each other, remember i’m not actually from lumberton). heh, i didn’t really mean that joke, but had to throw it in there. i’m sorry.

anyway, this should be an eventful weekend, as (i know i’ve mentioned it before) josh’s parents and sister/fiance will be arriving friday evening. we are going to go out to the turkish place i fell in love with a couple of weeks ago, attend a football game (i’m trying to muster up some enthusiasm), and run a 5K. i’m going to be tired.
