in other news, i have to go to traffic court today for a speeding ticket that i was stupid enough to get even though i had already been warned in the *exact* same location. i would have just paid the thing by mail and forgotten about it, but apparently, in north carolina you can ask for a ‘prayer for judgment’ or something and get your first offense ‘erased’ from your record so that it doesn’t increase your insurance. i was too cheap to hire a lawyer, so now i have to navigate the scary court all by myself: i’m scared.
