nourishment and self-care
21 weeks into my pregnancy adventure, the terms above have taken on a new importance.
things are different now. feeling good requires a bit more effort on my part: more rest, more sleep, and more attention to things like nutrition and body care. self-care comes in many different forms; here are just a few things i try to incorporate that come to mind . . .

showering/bathing rituals are one important component of self-care. i like to leave the shower feeling cleaner [duh] and more relaxed [ahhh] than when i get into it. so, i was excited when i received an offer to review this product:

first of all, i trust dove. it was all my parents used on my sister + me as kids; i still love the smell of their classic bath bar for that reason. second, i am definitely a body wash fanatic. i’ve tried multiple brands and tend to bounce around a lot when some new smell catches my fancy at the drugstore or whole foods.
i started using this body wash a few days ago, parking it next to the [overpriced but heavenly-scented] body wash currently in rotation. the verdict? LOVE IT. it has an extremely light texture but goes on feeling silky-smooth. it is great for shaving [multitasker!] and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft. i wish it smelled more like the classic bath bar, but i still don’t mind the smell [and that’s coming from someone with SUPER-SCENTING abilities right now — trust me, it’s a double-edged sword].
