to the victims, their families, and everyone feeling the aftershock of yesterday’s events.
it’s been a little rocky over here, but events like this always remind my how the small things — well, they really are small.
and that life is unfair and unpredictable and chaotic and sad.
some people are wretched and disturbed.
it’s also fleeting and achingly beautiful.
and many people are heroes, and most of us truly are good.
i need to remember to be thankful for the privilege of waking up every day.
