I was on last week but now — I’m off! This past Tuesday until Monday January 4th. Josh is working (our generally synced-up call begins in 2016!). So far, it has been really really nice. I’m sort of pretending to be a SAHM. My utmost respect to you, SAHMs, because it is hard work. Honestly, that said, I could probably be very happy as a SAHM (okay, maybe with a little side business of some sort). I realize I am probably not supposed to say that. At the same time, I’m also really happy at my job, and I feel like I get a lot of the mom benefits AND have a great/fun/interesting/rewarding job AND get a paycheck.
So. All that said, just a few of the little moments from the past few days . . .
COPIED. I don’t think that counts as real writing . . . but it’s a start

Honestly, things do feel like they are getting better and better. Do NOT get me wrong – there are still tantrums and trying moments. I took them both for their flu vaccines this morning (a little late, I know!) and Annabel had a 15 minute breakdown — not about her SHOT but about the fact that her sticker ripped on way home. OMG. But thus far, the older my children seem to get, the more fun and gratifying I am finding parenting, and I have my suspicions that this will continue . . . at least until hormones begin to rage.
Some more introspective (perhaps cliche) year end posts up ahead . . can’t help myself 🙂
Happy almost-new-year!

Looks like a fun few days!! Happy New Year!
Laughed about your Cameron at the museum caption. I have 2 boys (no girls) and being anywhere with them is exactly like that. Except, there are 2 of them and they always run off in different directions! Love Annabel the artiste. No artists here- just sprinters.
Looking forward to your posts in 2016!
Beth, I hear ya! Two boys, always running off in opposite directions. Glad you are getting some good time off. I had my time off and I start call this evening for the New Years weekend. I think, if you want to be, you can be happy with any number of life circumstances. I do not currently want to quit my well-paying (family-supporting), intellectually-stimulating and very flexible job to be a SAHM (nor can I!) but if circumstances were different, I could see myself enjoying that role! So glad you feel things are getting better and better. What a great place to be in! I have a string of "cliche" posts lined up myself. Self-reflection is what blogs are made of, right?
