Another beautiful day in Boston. We definitely need to appreciate the weather now because it looks like next week will be HOT!
The kids initially woke up at 5 am confused as to why it was light out. Who knew dawn in Boston is currently at 430 am?? It’s after 6 at home! We assured them that it wasn’t real morning and thankfully they went back to sleep until 630 or so.
Morning cartoons. Hotel tradition.
We did a quick breakfast at Au Bon Pain (should have gone back to Flour!) and headed to the New England Aquarium. Unfortunately about 48382 school groups appeared to be doing the same thing so we decided to leave and return later. It was also clear that the kids needed running-around-outside time.
Playground to the rescue!
Next we headed to find lunch. After a false start in the North End (turns out a giant stroller won’t fit in some restaurants … oops) we ended up getting pizza at Pizzeria Regina in Faneuil Hall. Followed by ice cream (a lot of it!!).
It was 2pm by then and the aquarium was much calmer, so we headed in. A and C loved it though on different levels. A actually listened and C enjoyed running around as fast as possible. Though he was particularly into the walrus outside, trying to chase him as he swam back and forth in the tank!
Sea dragons!! So weird looking!
Both kids thoroughly passed out after this visit – from around 430-6pm!
Luckily they rallied for dinner at Legal Seafood (conveniently located in the Copley mall attached to our hotel- we stayed at the Westin there). We met up with Vickie, Jon, and 2 more college friends Emily and her husband Andrew – as several of you guessed we are on our way to Williamstown for my 15th reunion! Headed there today — wish us luck! More to come 🙂

I’m jealous of your dinner at Legal Seafood! I had a great bowl of chowder there when I was in Boston.
Looks like you’re having a great vacation. Enjoy!
Have so much fun at reunion! My 10th was last year and all the pics on Williams social media are making me wish I could go back again this year.
It seems that the 2nd day of your vacation was very exciting!
Thank you!
We are lucky to have so many great things so close!
