I’ve had requests on how I’m using my “review” and “overview” pages in the Wonderland 222 planner.
(I’ve also had a lot of questions about the quarterly planning pages – currently mine remain blank! Whoops!)
Tomorrow is another month. I for one am ready!
Let’s do it, Feb. New year do-over? I think I need one.
SOME PODCASTS I REALLY ENJOYED THIS WEEKEND:
Leo Babauta on the Tim Ferriss show (old, but good!)
All Songs Considered: New Music Friday: Jan 29 (highlights for me — the new Weezer + Arlo Parks!)
Spawned: Why we need to reframe how we view self-care with Dr. Christine Koh (tried to link directly to their site, but this episode wasn’t up yet!)
Organize 365: Black History of Home Ownership

Hope you’re having a nice Sunday, Sarah! Nice to take the time to look back at the month as a whole. (and I’m really looking forward to your 2021 book list, btw!)
I love the fresh start of a new month, especially when it’s on a Monday! I accomplished all of my goals in jan which included updating our Will and finishing my 2020 photo book. And I read 16 books which is nuts but most were read between the hours of 10p-6a when feeding our newborn/trying to get him to sleep. I hope I read fewer books in February and get more sleep!!! Fingers crossed. This was the first month I have set goals for myself. I didn’t at all in 2020 as the year felt out of control between Covid and a really tough pregnancy. It feels good to have slightly more control, although I have had to be reasonable in what I want to accomplish as the baby does not want to be put down so I rarely have an empty lap/arms!
I couldn’t think of what to do with the Wonderland quarterly pages as I’ve completely converted to your quintile system, which makes so much sense with school age kids. I finally figured out that it will be a great “deep work” tracker and a way to give myself credit for making progress on long term projects. For January I listed my long term projects on the right with a few specific goals and used colored dots in the calendar to note each 30 minute block on one of the projects. It’s a nice way to see that I did devote time to these important but not urgent tasks.
I’m happy with my 222 review/overview pages. I use them for a combination of goal setting and journaling. What I’m still messing with is the quarterly pages. I have to remind myself that I’m not obligated to utilize every single section that a planner offers.
YES very true!!!!
I use the quarterly pages for quarterly planning and goal setting. I will take a pic and shart on Instagram. It isn’t Earth shattering or anything, but I find it helpful.
Just wanted to drop in and say thank you for the podcast rec Routines and Things–she has become one of my favorites. I hope you can have her on as a guest sometime!
Ooh good idea!!! I would love to have her on!
