G had her first ever Mommy Day! In prior years, I felt like she commanded so much of my attention in general that she didn’t ‘need’ her own day.
Now she is savvy and aware enough that such an omission would be seen as quite an insult.
She was excited . . .
Outing (her choice, though I didn’t give her too many options): ‘Mingo Gardens. Yes, we go all the time. But she doesn’t get to go *by herself*. So it was special.
That was pretty much it! She had a great time and I am sure her Mommy Day adventures will become more elaborate with time.
C is today! In lieu of a week of spring break, I’ve taken Thurs/Fri off something like 3 out of the past 4 weeks. I feel like I haven’t worked a full work week in forever and I actually really need to, but I have the rest of the next couple of months to do that!
HAPPY FRIDAY!

Awww she looks like such a big girl! How special to get mommy all to herself! I look forward to doing this with our son. But he needs to be potty trained first – which we are working on this weekend. Wish us luck. He uses the potty at school but has been stubborn at home so our doctor said it’s ok to just take the diapers away. Hopefully it’s not too much of a train wreck. I have fun reward activities planned like baking cookies. It’s been a doosey of a couple of weeks as we also sleep trained Will since he was waking every 2-2.5 hours. Yawn.
Wow! I love that photo of the flamingo! We don’t have any in aus (not even in the zoo) so I’ve never seen one in person
Beautiful beautiful beautiful.. Sounds like a fun day.
Side note- did you receive an email from Hobonichi on their 2021 survey? I thought of you, and mentioned your blog in my response as to where I learned about Hobonichi. It sounds like they are looking to feature planner spreads, would love to see you on their site!
She is so grown up! I can’t believe how long and beautiful her hair is. So neat to see G becoming her own little person. Glad it looks like you had a great first Mommy Day with her.
She definitely deserves her own Mommy Day and look how excited she was. So cute!!! And so grown up 🙂 Wasn’t she born just a few months ago? 😉
Have you watched Yes Day? My kids said (of their own accord) that “yes day” is too much but we should do “fun afternoons” where I take them out and we do what they want. I said, “happy to do that” so this quarter is for fun afternoons.
PS Still no parcel but don’t worry; it takes a long time.
OMG!!!! I definitely mailed it when I texted you (though USPS). I hope it comes soon!!!!!!
I haven’t seen Yes Day! I’ve heard of the concept but didn’t realize it was something you could watch. I’m more partial to Mommy Day where it’s Yes . . within reason 🙂
