Planners The Podcast

10 Things About Planning & Planners . . .

November 16, 2021

I did a guest spot!

Listen HERE!

I am a regular listener to Laura Tremaine’s fantastic podcast 10 Things to Tell You, and decided on a whim to email her to see if she’d be interested in a planner-focused episode. It ended up working out, and it was SO much fun talking to her (I think you can tell by the interview).

We used “10 things” as a framework, and it was fun (and very easy) to come up with 10 things to talk about related to planning + planners.

Today also marks the release of BOBW’s Holiday Gift Guide! Unlike most gift guides . . there are no affiliate links (as I think many of us are linked-out in this regard). Instead, it’s a discussion about how we plan to celebrate. Spoiler alert/update: I still haven’t bought many gifts yet. AHHH! It will be okay. I am pretty sure my children are not going to end up feeling deprived . . .

Back more tomorrow! I slept in today 🙂

Final note: it’s a Patreon night! Hoping to see some of you there. Topic will be all about holidays – gifts, volunteering ideas, family fun, to “holiday fun list” or not, and more. We will also taking suggestions as we start lining up discussion topics for 2022!

I pretty much squealed when I opened pocket casts and saw you are the guest on 10 things! She has a huge audience so I bet your download stats will benefit! See, that is a better use of your time v being on IG and will really grow your platform IMO!

I haven’t bought any Christmas gifts either! But my family has majorly cut back. The cousins do a gift exchange and that’s it. We asked my parents to stop buying gifts for us kid since they have 10 grandkids to shop for and they were on board with that. My MIL buys a lot for our boys so we just get them 1-2 things and I don’t even know that I’ll get anything for the baby this year? I know that may sound harsh but he truly doesn’t need anything. So I’ll probably get a few books and call it good for him. I listened to simplified this week and liked her approach of just getting 1-2 things/kid. That feels manageable and they would still have plenty to open w/ gifts from grandparents, cousin exchange, etc.
