Yesterday was slightly exhausting but fun. I crossed off everything on my list except for the bday party reschedule (yes, I found my AirPods – whew).

The benefit of being out of the house all day is that the house doesn’t get as trashed as it does when we are all home!

TODAY

Run

Extended family brunch & swim

Prep for week (board, to do list, etc)

Attempt to reschedule A’s party

I’m headed to Orlando today for a conference and then Miami for a partner retreat on Wednesday and our opening dinner is at the Frost Science Museum! I’m excited to see it (I’ve never been to Miami) and to be following in your weekend footsteps! (And to wear a fun fancy dress I haven’t had an opportunity to wear in literally years!)

Glad you found the Air Pods! I just ran the Shamrock Marathon (3:45 – yay!) and am vegging out, watching The Crown. Back to Orlando and real life tomorrow :).

same here. when we are out all day, I come back with decent home. when we spend the whole day at home, I constantly yell everybody to tidy up. hahah

I really appreciate how something as mundane as “find airpods” makes it onto your to do list! I find that sometimes tasks are so simple I don’t think I need to put it on the to do list for the day and then it never gets done and I get frustrated. Whereas if I plan to devote time to even tiny things, it’s more likely to get done- it’s better to single task it than just hoping such tasks will get done in the course of the everyday. (Showering is sometimes like that for me, I’m abashed to admit…)

The weather has finally warmed up here so we were outside quite a bit this weekend, including an impromptu playdate between my son and a neighbor boy who is close in age. Being able to be outdoors with our kids makes a HUGE difference in how I feel/my outlook on life! We also had lunch with friends on Saturday, swimming lessons for the baby on Sunday am, and my husband and oldest son went out to his mom’s yesterday afternoon. So it was the perfect amount of plans for us. We are in the process of dropping down to 1 nap/day for the 15mo so being outside/tiring him out with fresh air is key. That said he was still up at 5:15 today. He’s been waking around 5-5:30 for the last month which makes for really long days!

Such a fun weekend — on the go and screen-free.
