Planning By Season: 2024
Ever since the launch of BLP Academy, listeners and attendees have requested a longitudinal experience for those who want guided planning throughout the year. I have learned so much about what people want out of these courses – so much of the power comes with the accountability, the connection, and the structure. And so . . . Planning By Season was developed with these concepts at the forefront, as a yearlong experience with plenty of time for back-and-forth interaction and connection — but also a workbook and built-in accountability with mid-season check-ins.

I’m going with Hobonichi products for a second year in 2024. I have the Hobonichi Cousin and Weeks Mega (Cousin for everything persona life and Weeks for trackers/lists/notes). I have a separate Happy Planner for work-related task management and meeting notes. I also use Apple Notes, too.
Over the winter break, I’m spending time reviewing what we covered in BLPA and mapping to which product (Cousin, Weeks, Apple Notes) will each thing “live” in 2024.

I already entered the contest but just wanted to say I love the video! You do an amazing job describing the planners but I have never watched a planner review before and it was cool to see the products and how you use them. I have a line a day 5 year which is much smaller than your hobonici and I also started in 2021 so I’ve started to think about what I’ll get for 2026… the hobonichi looks very sturdy.

My current planner stack for 2024:
– An EC softbound Life Planner (vertical) for Monthly and Weekly planning
– A generic softbound notebook that I use for my daily planning (I use 6 of these a year, one for every two months and get them from either Staples or Target)
– AN EC softbound Teacher Planner – this has been new since August and I am not a teacher but it works really good for planning and thinking through my work items (I manage projects, so I do one project per column!).
– One additional notebook that I use for all my paper thinkin…. brainstorming goals, journaling, whatever I need to get out of my brain and onto paper to examine. The most recent entry was running the numbers and options for our annual benefits enrollment!
