Day #7/7: Sunday

September 21, 2026

Today is Show Notes day, but I have to complete the 7 days so here you go – the final time tracking post!

Sunday kind of contained a lot of things! Josh had work, so this was a “me + kids” day until dinnertime. There was a lot of driving and a lot of rain, but I still managed to make a festive pumpkin dinner AND finish the last 100 pages of Big Little Truths.

(LOVED IT BTW!)

The overview:

lot of driving

Highlights:

  • Pilates was great (the Sunday AM teacher is a combo of hard enough AND zen. I really like her.)
  • FINISHED organizing C’s room!!!
honestly I’m proud of both us of 🙂
look at that nice workspace
note the inherited rocking chair
  • C had a bball game – G spectated with me (she brought a book and read for most of it)
It was an exciting game! But sadly we were the home team.
  • Then we dropped C @ School of Rock for rehearsal; I did the weekly planning tasks before picking him up in a lightning storm (G came with me obviously; I am comfortable leaving those 2 home for short periods but not G by herself)
  • Home! But then promptly out in the same storm to pick up A from Golden Beach (45 min there + back). At least I had good music on the way there and then conversation on the way back.
  • Then I snuck in a walk because it was so nice and cool out (like 75!)
  • AND THEN: PUMPKIN DINNER! Josh got home in time and we had a 3 course pumpkin extravaganza:

APPETIZERS

leaf chips, pepita salsa, and pumpkin samosas (both have a little spice level but not too much for my kids)
pumpkin ravioli with autumn harvest sauce, some kale salad, and cheddar chicken sausage because everything can’t be pumpkin

Followed by (not shown) pumpkin ice cream and pumpkin chocolate covered pretzels on top for dessert.

(ALL of the above from Trader Joe’s). I can’t decide if I like the lunch or dinner version of this meal better but G said she would like more 3 course meals, please.

AAAAAND that’s a wrap for the week! Back to regularly scheduled programming tomorrow. . .
