On Fridays, I have clinic at a different location than the usual. It’s the opposite direction from school, and since last year we’ve had our nanny do the morning drive that day.
I have developed quite an attachment to my current habit of stopping at Starbucks (between home + that location) and chilling with some breakfast and writing a blog post. I think I really like it because while my Friday clinical day is a full day, this makes Friday feel a little bit different/special/festive.

I initially had bought tickets to the Meet the Parents (ie back to school parent party) at G’s school, but by Thursday afternoon I realized this was not a good plan, since I was out until at least 9 PM on Tuesday / Weds / Thursday nights! I’m an extrovert but this was over my limit so I spent the day looking forward to a chillllllll night at home.

And chill it was. Complete with a long reading session followed by 9:30 bedtime on a Friday night (I know, I am SUCH A COOL AND FUN PERSON).

(Colleague + friend Yesenia gave me permission to post this.
And yes, we planned it.)
Anyway, skipping the event was the right call. I was delighted to go home after work and do very little.
And now the weekend is underway – update tomorrow!
