Sunday Puzzle Pieces

October 11, 2026

Not actual puzzle pieces (though C is working on a Pokemon 1000-piece and I kind of love that) but instead one of those “does it all fit?” kinds of days.

I told him he might want to consider finding the edge pieces and he was not particularly open to this advice, noting that “mom you’re not even good at puzzles.” He does have a point.

I’m hoping it will feel BOTH relaxed and productive!

SCHEDULED ITEMS:

⏰ Pilates 9-10 AM

⏰ C guitar drop-off and A/G/S mani-pedi (I figured what better way to use up a random 90 minute block of time? I suspect G may choose some Halloween colors . . .)

That’s it! Otherwise we are gloriously open.

TO DO

✅ Organize G’s books

✅ Order groceries (going to pick the easy/efficient route and go delivery for today. MUST INCLUDE: rye bread + butter for G’s “heritage project” and cream cheese for class party)

✅ Hopefully book park for G’s bday (I have the animal part done – now just need to finalize location!)

✅ Plan week / put on board

✅ Order some dance stuff for kids

✅ Decide on / book Universal tickets for our late Dec trip (pretty sure we will do one day of Epic Universe and one day in the other two parks)

✅ Package up return

✅ Take a walk somewhere

✅ Inbox cleanups: physical + gmail

✅ Prep tomorrow’s show notes for AM posting

✅ FINISHHHHHH Fellowship Point (read a ton yesterday and now this is within reach! It DID get better in the back half!)

✅ Cook/make dinner with said groceries (chili maybe? we will see)

All right – wish me luck!

Planners in yesterday’s post have all beens spoken for — I provided the info to Lisa based on first come first serve, and I wish we had even more but who knows – maybe in the future!

I am making chili tonight too! Very excited because I have forgone the fall chili tradition the last few years (probably cause my kids won’t eat it…) and this year I was inspired to include it on my October goals list – so making it happen today!!

Oh, Sarah, doing a 1,000-piece puzzle without doing the edge first would drive me insane (and I am decent at and enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles)! But I know edges-first is not the only school of thought, so I gue-e-s-s-s I’ll cut C some slack 🙂 Hope you enjoy your full Sunday!

OMG Sarah, yesterday in my post I called you Lisa.
I’m so sorry, I was listening to Lisa Woodruff from Organize 365 while writing a comment on your blog. Guess I’m not good at multitasking…lol
    Once again, my sincere apologies!
