thank you for stopping me from making what was an incredibly lame and stupid decision. thinking back to when i hurt my achilles, i remember promising myself that i would *never* take my ability to run pain-free for granted, and that i would cross-train and stretch and listen to my body. and what did i almost do?? RUN A MARATHON WITH A GROIN INJURY? WHY DIDN’T ANYONE ELSE TRY TO STOP ME?
well, whatever. because i have been walking about with a wince in each step today, i’m re-making my decision, and this time it’s final: no shamrock sportsfest for me. i have already withdrawn my hotel reservation so there is no turning back. it is time for rehab, cross-training, and maybe even a sports medicine appointment.
love,
s

You're welcome!L, da (AKA a-nonny-mouse) 🙂
I really am anon – I think I found your blog through katheats? But just wanted to say it really sucks you can't run, and if it helps, a random stranger thinks you're doing the right thing, too. Good luck.
