i no longer feel like being an intern. i mean, i still FEEL like one, what with the constantly beeping pager and all, but i am just starting to feel true mental fatigue. and i think this feeling is spreading* among my chronically scutted and sleep-deprived peers. there may be a mutiny. but probably not, we’re in pediatrics and that’s really not our style.
the good news: um, just 3.75 more months! and in 2 weeks, we get to see who will be taking over for us at the end of june. somehow, i feel like that will be psychologically satisfying.
the bad: 13 more intern call nights to survive. that’s three hundred and ninety hours-worth. i hope i can make it through.
