= what josh and i always whine out loud to each other at the end of every time period we have off together, whether it be a 9 day vacay-extravaganza or just a fun weekend. from the race to wine tasting to eleven hours of sleep last night, we definitely enjoyed ourselves thoroughly this saturday/sunday and made the most of our time off together.
kath and matt were amazing hosts and since i didn’t create my own, i will just link to their photo-montage here to demonstrate the festivities of the wine tasting and afterwards (and we were quite festive!). i will admit i am not a huge fan of most north carolina wine — but there were a couple i liked — a white blend from ragapple lassie and the sangiovese from cerminaro vineyards were highlights. i didn’t drink all that much because i was driving, so i basically took micro-sips of most of the wines and passed my tasting glass on to josh, who never complained.
we drove back this AM and i had just enough time to do a rudimentary cleanup and 10-mile run at the gym (it was too hot outside for me!) before my amazingly awesome sister rebecca came over and brought us a fabulous handcrafted giada dilaurentis-inspired creation. pictures of that to come tomorrow!

tomorrow.
good night!
