MBs 4ever!

October 3, 2009

MBs reunited!
back in the day at williams college, the 6 of us toiled away at our studies together, with majors ranging from art history to chemistry. we all lived in close proximity for 3 of 4 years (junior year was for traveling for many of these worldly women), culminating in the sharing of an adorable little white cottage our senior year (sewall house, for any ephs reading!). we made it through the hard winters together by drooling over the pages of vogue magazine, concocting creative cocktails involving raspberry stoli, lining up for 3D porn in minus-five degree temps (don’t ask), and dreaming about sharing a villa together in italy someday. oh, and MB stands for mad bitches, of course. don’t mess with us!

the last time we were all united in one place was for my wedding in 2006! unfortunately, it being my wedding and all, i didn’t get to hang out with everyone as much as i would have liked. so it has been wonderful to get a chance to catch up — i seriously had been looking forward to this trip for months. we are all gathered here to toast the wedding of aimée and eric, who have been together FOR 14 YEARS (i know! dude!). during The College Years, eric made many a hazardous snowy trip to visit us in williamstown (he was an art student at the time up in maine), and we always welcomed him with open arms because he was lots of fun and seemed to put up with our group antics with unusual ease.

so: we are all up in maine and having a blast! i’m running out of time before the wedding, so i’ll just end with a photo-essay of our time together so far! they’re a bit random . . . but i think they capture the MB essence.

vickie brought some pleasure reading. nerd alert!

newlyweds to be! don’t they look relaxed? i suppose when you’ve had 14 years to gear up . . .

azusa, studying the menu at the green elephant quite intently

aimée with some choice wedding gifts from nicole (i don’t know what is up with the settlers of catan fixation either)

group shot (minus the blushing bride)! um, excuse my wild hair. from L –> R: azusa, me, nicole, vickie, emily

but we’re not always so nerdy. we did eventually make it out! dancing, drinks, and all. after a manhattan, aimee demonstrated her tongue talents on a cherry stem. and i’ll just leave it at that!

off to see the happy couple SEAL THE DEAL!

My cousin is a Williams grad and she is the most down-to-earth, relaxed person – (oh, and super smart) so I&#39m going with that stereotype until proven otherwise.

What a fun time. Two of my roommates got married in 2007, and it was so much fun to be at both of their weddings.
