PS:

HOBONICHI IS ARRIVING TODAY!!!!

I actually had to send in a customs declaration for the first time ever (reportedly b/c I ordered pens?) but the Fedex people were very nice and helpful and the box should arrive today!! Annabel is as excited as I am 🙂 Plans for an unboxing video are in the works . . . we’ll see how that goes!

Off to run!

Maybe it (the customs declaration) has something to do with the recent spat of unsolicited seeds being sent from China?!

Ooh didn’t think of that! I’m just glad and grateful to fedex customer service I was able to resolve it quickly 🙂

Mine arrived last week. No customs forms required…hmmm

They said it was bc of pen and pen refills! I agree it was weird – have never had to do that before and I have ordered from them yearly since 2014!!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who has to put “shower” on my to do list some weeks. 🙂

Lol about shower being on a to do list. It’s not something that happens daily for me now that I WFH and am not doing strenuous, sweat-inducing workouts. Ha. I tell myself I’m saving water. 😉 I do shower when I have video calls, though!

Looking forward to the unboxing. I hope that A picked the cookie monster cover because that is bound to make everyone smile when they see it! Who doesn’t love Cookie Monster?

I can’t wait to see your new Hobonichi haul! I was tempted to buy a few things, too, but by the time I finally gave into that temptation what I wanted was sold out. Boo! But I have an April start calendar anyway so the ideal opportunity will be in the spring, and then I promise you I won’t wait a minute past the first day of the Hobonichi “season”. 🙂

By the way, this is a super minor detail, but I absolutely love how you create these stacked boxes for your checklists. I started doing the same after seeing your Hobonichi spread a year or so ago, but I still *cannot* make them look straight, whether I use a Mildliner or the multicolor pen that comes with the Hobonichi. I have small, but very neat and dare I say attractive handwriting — I grew up in the Philippines, where penmanship is almost an art form — and I can freehand straight lines like nobody’s business…but those neat, straight boxes elude me! But I love seeing them on your planner, maybe because they inspire me to keep trying. 🙂

Hope you had a great run!

Hmm! I do not use a ruler for them and mine are NOT perfectly perfect. Maybe yours are better than you think? (Sometimes I look down at my pages and just see ALLL of the flaws, esp after I just write them. And when I go back later it looks super neat and I can’t even find what I was concerned about. #planningproblems !!!! I can’t remember where I came up with those boxes but I do feel like they are part of my style! And they are very functional for me 🙂

Haha, no, they’re not even imperfectly perfect. 😆 Somehow the boxes look like they’re about to collapse, like in Jenga. But that’s okay, it’s a sort of meditation to try and align them as best as I can, kind of like how in Buddhism they say, “Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.” After enlightenment, I will still be attempting to get my stacked boxes look neat and aligned.
