Josh is off this weekend (yay)! I am up early in part because the new iOS update messed up my phone and now I cannot set different Bedtime alarms.
(To change the alarm time, my phone says, “Go to Health App!” . . . but the Health App, which apparently cannot be deleted, cannot be opened and in fact is nowhere to be found on my phone. And yes I searched for it; in fact, I use “search” to launch all of the apps on my phone, having given up on those folders and cluttered screens years ago. If you are an Apple guru that knows how to solve this problem let me know, or I may be stuck waking up at 5 am for the rest of my life. Which actually would be sort of okay.)
ANYWAY! I am not sure what our plans are for today. Apparently we have reached “Phase 3” of reopening so people can crowd into bars, but playgrounds are still on the closed amenities list.
(Sigh.)
Ideas:
Community Pool
Zoo (but the weather looks a little dicey and high of 90 “Feels Like 102” so . . maybe table that one until Nov or so)
Find a park to run around, or one with a trail
(So jealous of all of you in apple picking & pumpkin patch climates!)
My phone / digital habits project is still going strong. In case you are curious, the daily page below shows where I checked nonwork email / blog comments / insta, as well as my current abilities to track time (not terribly specific, but good enough).
Ignore my little notes about moving to a new planner – I almost gave up (it just seemed daunting somehow!) and started a new bullet journal, but in the end decided to give the Amplify a try. (The part that annoyed me was transferring dates from the Jibun, but honestly it’s doable.)
Also, I recognize yesterday was a pretty short work day, but . . . whatever. I led 3 meetings including one during lunchtime, and got a decent amount done. And ending the work week with a a walk with Annabel outside was delightful.
I’m excited to try the Amplify but I have to say the last few months in the Bullet Journal have been great for me. I really do enjoy this system as long as I have a preprinted calendar for weekly and monthly spreads 🙂
HAPPY SATURDAY!

Which pre-prints do you use? Do you paste them in? I’m wondering if this approach could work for me… having just splashed out for my 2nd hobonichi (that obsession is your fault, SHU!)… they are extortionate with the tax to get them into the UK, but still my very favourite. I was wondering about some kind of stamp for weekly planning in a bullet journal… now there’s a rabbit hole I’ve not yet gone down!
Have a great weekend!
I meant the preprinted sidekick of the weekly/monthly planning in the Jibun techo – that’s how I was currently doing it 🙂
Can you use Siri to set/change your alarms? Not quite a guru tip lol, just a suggestion.
