Sunday Happenings

G spent the first 15 minutes of this family gathering asleep, and the rest of it being basically delightful. Seriously.
After years of toddler-wrangling . . .family gatherings are fun again! Maybe the timing of the pandemic wasn’t SO terrible in this regard . . .
on a walk yesterday while C was at tennis with Josh

I am aware that there is still a pandemic going on, but honestly life feels entirely different than it did a year ago. We enjoyed a lovely outdoor Passover. We went to the pool. We are making actual plans re: fun things to do in the future. It feels really good.

I decided not to work out today and to sleep in as long as possible (8:30; Josh went down with the kids at around 7:30). That honestly felt pretty good, too.

Rest of day:

❏ Outside for walk

❏ Put groceries away

❏ Burgers for dinner! (takeout)

❏ Plan dropoffs/etc for next week — only A has school, the other 2 are on spring break! (G has Mommy Day Thursday and C on Friday!)

❏ Plan workouts for next week – finished LIIFT4 again today so going to try one of your other recs (Morning Meltdown, The Prep, mbf, or even attempting Peloton strength . . .)

Work is actually quite busy and I’ve been taking a lot of PTO days lately. Oddly looking forward to more ‘normal’ work weeks after this one so I can stop feeling behind . . .

Meal Plan:

S: takeout burgers (yay)

M: vegetarian pasta salad with feta

T/W: tacos / taco salad

R/F: spring Nicoise salad from How Sweet Eats. (If not enough Friday then possibly frozen pizza)

Awww. So happy things are finally feeling a little closer to “normal” again for you. I know not “normal normal”, but closer at least and moving in the right direction. 🙂

Glad you were able to see family for Passover! We are seeing both grandparents over the next 2 weekends. So excited. They are so excited to see our boys. Especially my parents because my mom is gah gah for babies! She had 5 kids so clearly really loves kiddos. Seriously can not imagine having 5!!

We haven’t eaten out since last Feb when we were in FL but our toddler was always sooo great at restaurants. I am not sure when we will eat in a restaurant again but I feel like he’s last the stage of being potentially difficult at restaurants. We will see how the younger brother is, though!

What a gorgeous photo of G! Glad you had a nice Seder.
I have been doing Peloton on-demand strength for the last year, and I LOVE it. The instructors are fantastic, and there’s a huge variety of classes (upper, lower, full body, core, boot camp, body weight) ranging from 10 to 45 minutes. If you like a “program”, start with Total Strength with Andy Speer- it’s a 4 week ramp-up total body strength program for all abilities. Can’t wait to hear what you try!
