Scenes from the weekend @ Deerfield Arboretum:
ALSO: I watched all of The Chair. The ending surprised me (and made me think about my own life / work quite a bit)! OMG!
My solo parenting weekend (and it was quite solo – Josh was covering like 5 hospitals) had its ups and downs. Some lovely parts, as above. And some slogging parts. Why is cleanup and bedtime so painful!? I’ll never know . . .
AAAAND, call begins in just an hour or so. Amanda suggested I try to plan everything I can control. I like that idea. I am also going to minimize most other obligations. One minute at a time.
Wish me luck, I always need it.

what a beautiful little girl
Loved The Chair. As a single mother by choice working in an English dept….sorta checked all my boxes. Also too close to reality for comfort!
oooh yes! So true!
🙂 you can do this!
surviving so far – and celebrated my survival with a stuffed pb cookie, they are AMAZING and I need the recipe! Thank you!!!
Another English professor reader here. The Chair definitely hit close to home!
I loved The Chair too! And I also did not expect the ending. I’m hoping the series continues. I really like Sandra Oh.
Bedtime is slowly getting better. For my son who is almost 12 and stays up reading past my bedtime – it is a hug good night. My daughter who is 9 requires more still but is way, way less than when they were younger. The only really sore point is showers. They hate having them. One day I will miss it?!
That’s A?!?!?! I was expecting you to say that you finally met up with your sister.
Oh wait, I misunderstood. That’s not your girl, A. I was going to say, time flies.
Hahaha that would be insane if Annabel were a full grown adult 🙂 ! No, that’s a friend with the first initial A!!!
