BLP Episode 100 (!): Ask Me Anything

June 27, 2022

Celebrating 100 – a big milestone in podcast land!

I received lots of wonderful questions via email, comments, and Insta (made a 3 day reappearance!) and it was really fun to answer them all mostly off the cuff in this episode.

Some were practical, some were random and fun, and perhaps my favorite was: How has planning changed your life?

Listen to hear the answers, and if you’d like to celebrate with me, leave me a review (on apple podcasts or elsewhere).

I don’t have a full set of data readily accessible for BLP, but this year (since January) there have been over 270K downloads, and here are the 5 most listened-to episodes this year:

Thank you for every one of these!! It has been so much fun to create BLP and I have big plans in store for the next 100.

More on life events tomorrow, but in case anyone is concerned — A&C successfully made it to camp!

We drove to the airport at 5:30 am and the actual watching them go was a bit emotional, but no martyrdom here — obviously we chose this plan and these kids are SO LUCKY to get to go!

I hope they love it.

G’s got a very sweet smug “I’ve got you all to myself!” face

She definitely enjoyed her day yesterday! She did say she missed A and C but it seemed outweighed by all the personal attention!

I get G is going to love this time with her parents and nanny to herself. I don’t think I would have missed my siblings if they were gone… I was 1 of 5, though, and not close to the sibling closest in age to myself! I loved any and every opportunity to have a parent to myself – until I was a snotty teen/tween! Ha!

Happy 100 episodes! That went fast!!

Congrats on 100 episodes!! I always enjoy them! I like your formatting idea – that seems like a nice variety of topic categories. For me, personally, I’m not always actually as interested in the planner reviews, because I’m pretty set there for now and I’m not interested in bouncing around to new products all the time. BUT- that totally may just be me!! I’m sure many others really value the planner reviews. (I always listen anyway, bc you never know- maybe I’ll change my mind. 😉 i do sometimes have a hard time envisioning the various layouts when it’s just being explained verbally- I’m more of a visual person! Sometimes I get a little lost, tbh, especially if I’m say, walking outside and something distracts me for a second and I miss something!).

I am a big, big fan of all the “planning adjacent” topics though!! Especially goals episodes. Those are like candy!! (Why? Why do I love those so much? 😆)

Congratulations on 100 episodes! My summer plans include downloading and listening to several of them! I bought an Ink + Volt – It’s nice but I think I need something more flexible. The first episode I will listen to is the one that includes “unstructured days”.

Congratulations for reaching 100 episodes and thank you for creating them. Your podcast is one of my favourites, a fun listen and usually has a calming effect, it’s a little break on Mondays. I’m looking forward for many more episodes.

Maybe I shouldn’t tempt you, but Instagram did go back to chronological. It’s not the default, but you can switch to it by tapping the Instagram logo and then click Following.

Congratulations and thank you for your wonderful podcast! I never miss an episode! And I’m thrilled my episode made the top 5 🙂 I usually listen to each episode the morning it comes out but am still playing life catch up after getting my own kid off to camp on Sunday. Boy is my little one loving being an only child ;)!!! Somehow I have less free time…
