We hit the pediatrician’s office at 4 pm yesterday — Friday is a shorter day at work so I can do things like this more easily now (I have morning patents but then can basically go once EPIC Inbox Zero has been achieved).
Love this pic! Notable (well, to me) how much darker G’s eyes are than the other 2 who have different mixes of brown/green. Genetics are interesting. She was also a bit less stoic with her shot.
I still need to get mine (easy though bc they offer/require it at work).
TODAY:
- strength workout. I sort of want to try F45 but today is probably not going to be the day.
- gymnastics x 3 kids.
- baking project! debating apple crisp vs something pumpkin?
- order C a Halloween costume
- FAMILY MEETING! We need it. Item #1 is to decide what to do tomorrow. Because the answer is not going to be hours of iPad.
- family date/dinner in Miami Beach.

Oh fab! They do kid’s flu vaccines at school here (nasal mist, ugh, I’d rather a jab) and I had the flu and bivalent on Thursday. I don’t think I was actually eligible, but she offered and I said yes. My flu shot arm was really sore, but covid arm was fine. I felt rubbish Thursday night and a bit jelly legged Friday, but otherwise ok. We need to get kiddo covid no. 2 but there’s some debate over whether it’s a 8 week or 12 week gap in the UK, as I’m immunocompromised.
My youngest is strangely stoic about shots. I remember him getting a flu shot when he was just shy of 2 and not reacting at all. It made me wonder if there was something wrong with him, lol. Given that he has broken an arm and knocked out a tooth without crying, he might just have a high pain tolerance. He still never cries. My oldest is the one who has the totally age inappropriate spaz…
