Black Friday: Full Focus

I’ve had some requests to share some Black Friday deals in the planner world! To be honest, I am not that much of a Black Friday shopper. I often buy . . . nothing. But if you are still working on building your 2023 planner armistice – Full Focus has some significant sales – 20% off sitewide and 30% off many of their Full Focus Planners – I don’t think I’ve seen a discount that big from them.

My FFP is often what I turn to when I’m stressed and so I always like to have a blank one on hand!

I am an affiliate — my code is here. Planner code for 30% off is BFCM2022. I’m not sure my code SARAH10 will work with all of the sales going on, but you can certainly try!

Post-call week fatigue

OMG you guys. Post-call-week fatigue is real. Even though I didn’t get too many overnight calls, I got some and I think I sleep really badly when on call (my brain trying to sleep lighter to be prepared for any call!?). Seven days in a row of that ==> sheer exhaustion. I went to bed at 8:30 last night the moment all 3 were in bed!

I missed my college friends chat (sad) but seriously I needed it.

ALSO G had classic strep signs (palatal petechiae, mild fever Sunday night, swollen lymph nodes) so I ended up taking her to urgent care before heading to work. They were ill-equipped to do a throat swab on a stubborn kid so we ended up with a very unreliable sample and they treated her anyway. THEN she proceeded to be almost entirely better (no more fevers yesterday on) so . . . I’m torn about whether to have her finish the antibiotics.

KIDS. Always something . . .

That said, I am soooo looking forward to the next 5 days after this one! Josh and I are both off and we are not traveling so it should be a nice chill Thanksgiving. Main goals: some decluttering + work on taming the hamster . . .

Okay off to run (treadmill b/c it’s pouring!)

Glad you survived :). Hope you can have a pretty chill slide into Thanksgiving.

We were supposed to go camping last night at the Kissimmee Prairie Preserve last night (it’s one of the few – only? – places in FL that you’re supposed to be able to see a completely dark sky) but canceled because of the forecast for constant rain. Then at 3pm, when we would have been half way to the middle of nowhere, my virus-ey 5-year-old said “Mommy, my ear really hurts.” So off to urgent care we went. Even though I’m bummed about not getting to go out and see the stars, I was doubly glad we had stayed home to we could get his new double ear infection treated.

I know they are advertising as 30% off, but it’s actually 28%. It’s 10% off, the 20% on top of that. I added a planner to my cart to double check that’s how they were applying it, and indeed it rung up at 27.9% discount.

      High school math – it’s important πŸ™‚

Sigh, one day on my phone I will figure out how to not have my comments almost always appear as responses to others. Meant to be a stand alone comment.

You are 100% correct. That’s rather annoying!!! Compounding in the wrong direction.

Well it’s kind of nice to hear of another parent with a child who resists procedures like a strep test. Our oldest has very strong feelings about things like strep tests and covid tests… It was a 2-person job to take him for a covid test and the poor kid had so many! It’s really hard when they refuse to cooperate. he has since become very stoic about at home covid tests, though, so I can see that things can change. But oof, things like vaccinations are very very hard! He’s like a bucking bronco.

I hope for your sake that they improve! Fortunately, we don’t bother with strep tests in the UK (or at least not in the NHS, a quick look seems to suffice) but vaccinations, covid and blood tests are a nightmare. My son’s follow-up blood test for coeliac disease ended up being blood pricks from 9 fingers that took 30 minutes as he screamed so much during the blood test. Kiddo is now 11 and beyond the age of medical consent so he can decline at school independently of our wishes so now no flu or covid vaccinations.

As a parent going through the β€œf-ing fours,” I really appreciate hearing that it’s not just my kid!

definitely not just you. she has taken over as the most challenging kid we have lately!

Question: how do I order the FFP with the new type of page you show above? I have the older version and this weekly layout looks much better.

Hi! Certain colors (and the loose leaf) have the new interior including the Evergreen and the Finch! Sadly none of the spiral bound are updated yet but if you buy Evergreen or Finch it will have the newer layout πŸ™‚
