Thanks for the shout-out! Listening to the episode now. You know I AM HERE for a post all about rest. (Ironic since I stayed up way too late staying up watching the Superbowl…but it only happens once a year.)
What a wonderful episode. Rest is something I need to prioritize. Even when my body is resting my mind goes “what should you be doing that is productive?”
This was a great and needed episode, especially in the “hustle” culture we are living in (in the US). It’s something I’ve been dwelling on too, especially in the past year (getting older has meant really needing to prioritize where my energy, stamina, and time is going). Just like in working out, we cannot feel guilty to take rest. Wonderful job discussing!
thank you so much Elissa!
Loved this episode! Had a super busy week last week with work travel, and I ended up needing extra rest on Saturday- I had two (!) naps, did reading, and watched TV, with some very low key parenting duties, and it was so good! By Sunday I had my energy back. Our bodies know what we need if we listen.
I also loved the book Wintering! The whole book was calming and beautifully written and I loved the message.
Thanks for a great episode! 🙂
