Week 9/52!
12 Weeks until Bayshore
I feel like this week officially kicked off marathon training, transitioning from the half I ran last month — you can see the taper and post-race recovery week in the graph above, but now it’s back to business. My training schedule has plenty of long efforts (16-20 mi) coming up in the following weeks and I feel ready for it AND also glad that I haven’t been doing them this whole time!
M: 8.16 mi with Jacy (when it’s just her it always turns into a ‘moderate’ pace run which I don’t mind! It’s more than easy effort but I can still chat). 8:32/mi ave. Fantastic weather — it kind of went downhill after this day. Hopefully we can have one more cool stretch!
T: 8 mi easy run @ 9:22/mi.
W: Group run with Jacy + Jen. 9:01/mi average. Some of Jen’s speedwork in there which was fun!
R: 7 mi in Naples @ 9:03/mi. I ran to the beach which was nice! Always fun to see the ocean.
F: 6 mi in Naples @ 9:31/mi. Did not feel zippy on this one!
S: 16 mi @ 9:03/mi average. I felt really good on this — the miles just flew by, especially in the latter half. Meh weather (71-73F, 83% humidity). I did wear AlphaFlys since I find them so much more conducive to post-run recovery; all of my other runs I wore my ASICS Novablast 3s <– I am on my 2nd pair of these and they are my favorite everyday trainers ever. LOVE them.
S: Hoping to FINALLY GET SOME STRENGTH IN. Will report back . . .
Total = 52 mi running and that is all I get credit for as of now 🙂

Not even a hint on that non-fiction pre-interview read?? 🙂
Haha – not sure if I can! On that note, yes to beta reading whatever I come up with for a proposal!!!
1. Fair 2. Yay – I’ll hold you to that! 🙂
Nice week of running! Yeah… I’m afraid our “winter” may be over. The forecast is showing 80s for the foreseeable future. But you never know- we’ve had cold spells in March before.
