Today’s episode centers around strategies for travel planning, from super-long range (5-10+ years) to daily planning while on vacation! I share my favorite strategies at each time horizon to craft travel plans that reflect your values and highest priorities, while meeting your actual real-life needs (budget, kids’ ages, etc!).

Oh I loved this! We are trying to hold our holiday plans quite lightly – we do house swaps and the more flexible you are, the more options you have. We spend Christmas in Portugal every year, but are quite open for our summer holidays.
We are trying to organise a trip with the cousins – but only our February half term properly overlaps, so we will be doing a chilly trip to Amsterdam next year.
This was a fun listen. I am starting to think about spring break 2026. We usually don’t go anywhere since it always falls during the first week of the month of April when he can’t take time off. But the boys will be 5 and 8 so I think I can manage a trip with them on my own. I think we will visit my sister in DC. My husband is NOT a fan of planning far in advance but since he can’t come, I can plan away! I should sketch out a plan for future travel based on their ages. I would like to do a cool national park trip when our oldest is in 4th grade.
