I feel a little bit like this emoji right now:

EDITING IS HARD! I know I said I was done with the book, but there are still some last-chance edits to do, and I’m very glad I’m doing them (because I’m finding things!).
On this round, I have also been able to take out references to my running life in the present tense; there weren’t tons of them, but the ones that are there were grating on me!
I now know that after about 90 minutes of intense editing, my eyes feel like swirls and I need a break.
On the positive side, I do really like my book (preorder available: amazon / Bookshop / Target / B&N)!!
(This is not to suggest that I believe everyone will love it, because book choices are so individual! But it would be bad to be reading it myself and feeling meh about it. I am pretty confident that if I had read this book years back, I would have loved it, and that makes me happy).

GORGEOUS new fall notebooks and reading journals!

PASSION PLANNER:
They are known for their planners, but what caught my eye in one of their emails was this super-functional daily schedule notepad. Perfect for those who prefer to start fresh with a new sheet daily.

I could imagine this working well for some tweens/teens too!
AAAAND it’s back to the editing process. I am hoping to finish in time to work on my Q4 ideal week.
IT IS TIME to do one of these!!

I wish there were more daily schedule options with start times earlier than 6. I find so many of them don’t cover the hours I need to make it useful. Amplify is the best I’ve found for me (and they have a daily pad too).
One of Passion Planner’s free printables is a ‘time extender’ which your can print and stick in to a planner – might be worth a look.
That was a reply to Brooke!
Gosh, those reading journals are gorgeous. I bought a stack of kids reading journals off Etsy for my son and he really likes writing them. School doesn’t do a reading log, so I like that there’s a nudge for reading / reflection. And he’s learned how to spell graphic and adventurous (kid knows his genre preferences) as a result.
The passion planner notepad reminds me of my daily work layout in the Day-Timer Two Page a Day Notebook Edition: https://www.daytimer.com/p/planners-calendars-organizers/planner-organizer-refills/daily-planner-organizer-refills/2026-two-page-per-day-reference-planner-refill-notebook-size-318002601/?srsltid=AfmBOoofgKbbDn9r8gry-_d0E4foyCcPraL-gx70UFnJunk1TMfp-cO_
After eyeing this for years I bit the bullet and bought one last fall and I am absolutely loving it. As someone who takes notes every day I find the two page per day really helpful, and I love adding “agenda items” for future me that I find when I plan for the upcoming week / days. I also love the opportunity for a “reset” every quarter as each quarter has its own book.
Oh wow! As a librarian, I think I *need* one of those bookshelf notebooks. 😉
Editing IS hard–I find it satisfying, but it’s also difficult. I’m looking forward to reading your book.
Ooh! I just put the fox notebook and sticker set on my daughter’s Christmas list- she will love those.
I’m glad you’re getting a chance to do final edits, but I can imagine how hard it is. I’m sure it’ll be a relief when everything is finalized and you don’t have the option to change anything else.
Hi Sarah. Just listened to the latest BOBW episode and I have a recommendation for you: WhatsApp polls. SO easy and SO useful for planning anything involving a group, but particularly great for planning group trips / picking dates / choosing accomodation etc. Go to the + sign in the bottom left corner, click on it then choose ‘poll’. Then make as many options as you like (dates / months / hotels / whatever) and watch the group consensus appear before your eyes 😊
Hooray for getting to make edits (says your friendly neighborhood editor)! I’m glad you were able to get to the running stuff before it was too late. I know that’s a big transition for you, and I can imagine it would feel perpetually a little messy to have the timelines sort of mixed up like that once the book was in print. I can’t wait to read it!
Those reading journals are adorable too!
