Fall Dreams, Realized

October 11, 2025

I made it you guys!!

I did have to run a little bit from terminal C –> terminal A at PHL, but got on that plane and was rewarded with the most amazing view of autumn colors upon landing in NOVA SCOTIA!

And then, these amazing ladies (Elisabeth + Kae) came for me at the airport and we headed straight for Peggy’s Cove. The conversation started flowing immediately and basically just . . . did not stop.

Graphic evidence/proof of life:

dramatic and beautiful, iconic Nova Scotia scenery
we experimented with various triple selfie techniques, maybe we will perfect it by the end of the trip
someone took our picture at an angle that gave us all model-length legs which is fine with me
love this one of the two of them!
Elisabeth took this – Kae + me contemplating life. Well, you can assume any pic of me + Kae was an Elisabeth photo credit!
also by E — at the cutest inn, complete with perfect fall decor
scrambling over rocks because we are adventurous like that
being adventurous
APPLE CAKE A LA MODE, the cuisine at Elisabeth’s is amazing. I also got to experience her seafood casserole which I have read about on multiple occasions and it was as delicious as I imagined.

Meanwhile back at the homestead . . . poor A broke her finger at acro class at the dance studio. For anyone keeping track, this is the fourth fracture event in our household in 2025 (and the 5th bone, since G had a 2-for-1 deal) and A’s second broken finger of the year.

However it sounds like she is in okay spirits and hey, maybe I can add her to G’s ortho follow up next week for truly efficient fracture management.

Today’s agenda: lots more conversation and basking in fall leaf colors.

Yasssss! Triple Selfie School is now in session! NS is awesome, and in person Elisabeth time is even better.

The best part about a 3x blogger meetup is 3x recaps! Can’t wait for those posts.

I have been to Peggy’s Cove…dozens of times?…and I can’t remember a day more beautiful than yesterday! You hit the weather jackpot.
And it was 100% surreal to have you and Kae sitting in my living room.
Glad you have confirmed I am NOT a bot, and can’t wait to adventure more in the next few days <3

Can you get a punch card from your ortho so the 11th break is free?

Love this! So beautiful. That area is a life list place for me, as a fan of Anne of Green Gables.

I went to Acadia in Wolfville and I’ve always wanted to stay at the Tattingstone Inn. Such a quaint little town especially with the fall colours. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tattingstone is SOOO nice and I 10/10 recommend! And that’s so cool that you went to college here! It actually reminds me a lot of the Williams campus where I went (in Western MA).
