Didn’t mean to leave anyone with a cliffhanger (I got at least one text demanding to know what was so stressful about Wednesday). But if anyone WAS waiting for my time tracking update to find out, here it is!
Wednesday January 14
This was an extremely ‘on stage’ day, and that’s what I was a bit stressed about. I had ~5-6 hours of totally ON performance time scheduled and I knew that was going to feel like a lot. Plus I still needed to finish prepping for the 6:30 pm Zoom (the preorder bonus)!
(C forgot his laptop too! He ended up just not having it for a day as I REALLY didn’t have time (hour) to drive to the school and back home to give it to him. Which I thought was probably for the best. I don’t think he will forget it again . . .)
(The ON performance time included: 2 hrs BLP at home, 1 hr Patreon, 1.5 hours recording with Laura, and then a 1 hr Zoom at 6:30 pm. We ended up cutting the recording a little short because I felt like I was no longer speaking coherently at that point! Thankfully I had recovered by 6:30.)

(Because my readers/audience is kind and smart and amazing, and they asked great questions.)

Notes about the day:
- As noted, this was a lot of on-stage time. Too much, if I’m being honest. However, all sessions were important, and January is just a very busy time for planning courses!
- Getting to recover with a walk outside was highly therapeutic
- Not a lot of downtime to do the administrative parts of my creative job, gah!
Thursday January 15
Thursday was a full clinic day! Often I have a slightly later start on this day (full time providers have a half day admin block, and I typically get about half of what they get), but because of Tuesday’s late start I had a full patient lineup.
Josh drove the kids to school so I didn’t have to. I had a no-show at the end of my morning session so I did get a little time to work on email (caught up on all results + messages first!).

It’s a 6 month program and January was the first session, so these visits took a while and the afternoon was pretty busy.

After the precollege Zoom, I spent a while with Josh re-planning Hawaii. YESSSSSS re-planning, because A has decided to take Geometry over the summer (so she can start Algebra 2 in 9th grade) and it turns out the only dates offered overlapped completely with our original Hawaii trip.
(I recognize this is not a real problem.)
ANYWAY, I realized that hey, the trip was still moveable, as everything I had booked was refundable and there were other potential windows for travel over the summer. Some patients will get moved by a month (from July to the now-open June slots), but with lots of advanced notice so it should be okay.
We also chatted (via text) with our Portland friends to finalize plans to visit at the end of our trip. I’m super excited about this plan! AND, I did some airfare shopping but didn’t pull the trigger. I know which flights we want but I’m hoping to either score a points deal or for the prices to drift down a bit.

THEN I watched another ep of Members Only Palm Beach with A and got not-quite-enough-sleep. (I will probably sleep in a bit tomorrow!)
Have you tracked time this week? Any insights?
I have a few but I need to head to clinic so I will pontificate more tomorrow or Sunday!

No, I have never done time tracking. I just read both your time tracking posts and phew- you have a lot going on. I can see how your clinical days would feel like a “break” at this point. I’ll be interested to hear your insights!
