I am obviously not your target audience, but my summer is going to be: 1) feel crappy prior to surgery that is necessary bc of iatrogenesis, 2) surgery, 3) recovery for 8 weeks, 4) hopefully favorable pathology and I can put this behind me forever, 5) actively dictate my own care forever forward which is very stressful, 6) simultaneously manage my parents declining health while my father actively obstructs his own and my mother’s care and refuses to listen to me about anything. So.
I hope you had a lovely time in the Berkshires and that Josh felt satisfied with the extent of your 1:1 “date” time. 🙂
It sounds like a really tough summer ❤️ I really hope it goes as smoothly we possible and ends without you having to worry going forward.
How “ideal” is an ideal week supposed to be? I’m surprised there isn’t more cleaning/organizing/other chores in your week.
I have 2 toddlers, so a lot of my post-bedtime hours are spent tidying, doing laundry, etc. I honestly find the whole endeavor of time tracking and thinking about an ideal week kind of depressing, because there are so few free hours to play around with. I do these exercises occasionally, and I plan because I want to make the most of the free hours I do have, but it still feels so limiting.
Hi! I probably should add a bit more tidying etc. I will say that when the kids were younger time was so much tighter. Almost like being able to do what I wanted (or even needed!) to do was the exception rather than the rule. (And back then I probably would have been annoyed by own 2026 example!). But for me the exercise has been a useful one through multiple phases. Of course understand if it isn’t for you at this time tho!
I think I heard that you were going to post your summer camp spreadsheet here? I’m DYING to get my hands on it! I’m juggling 2 camps a day for two months and the logistics are keeping me up at night.
I can do that! stay tuned and i’ll try to remember to respond to this message again
Still looking for that summer camp planner, so nudging you as it’s been a week!
