Well . . . I’m pretty sure everyone can guess what this one is about! Definitely one of those raw, from-the-heart eps.

I discuss current feelings and the (sad but true!) fact that plans do not always come to fruition! (That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t make them, but it’s important to keep in mind and can be something we have to deal with after the fact.)

Oh, Sarah! This year is not being very kind is it? I’m so sorry to hear about Josh’s injury. I hope it heals as well as possible. It’s truly crazy how quickly things can change on a dime. I really appreciate this episode and admire your ability to pivot so quickly! Good job!
Oh, Sarah! I am so sorry! Prayers for a speedy recovery for Josh. I am so impressed with your ability to pivot. When you DO go on your trip, it will be just that much more amazing!
I am so sorry – this year has been a lot for you all!
My husband (who plays a lot of basketball) wanted me to ask how the injury happened. That’s a heck of a fracture! You said it’s unknown how this will affect future sports. Does that include running and skiing? I know the skiing is so important to your family!
We don’t know yet 🙁 They said very high chance of him developing arthritis and pain esp with running so that might not be in the cards. Hoping that at least light skiing would be okay; I can barely keep up with Josh anyway so this would be an equalizer, ha.
