Call Weekend Day: So far, so good.
I took G to tennis and got to take a lovely walk, AND even got a cute video of her taking some shots at the end. She is still a beginner but has definitely made progress, which is cool to see! Then I drove across down to drop A’s friend off and headed to the hospital. I saw my consults/etc and right now all is calm (could change in an instant, but still notable as I am not one of those people who believes acknowledging it will somehow alter the future, ha).

(video screenshot so it’s blurry but I was impressed. ALSO it was 88F at 9:45 AM)
I can’t write much about work for obvious reasons, but I wanted to share this little vignette: I saw this patent in the hospital who happens to follow me as an outpatient (so I know him and his mom well), and without going into specifics he has a very difficult to manage and complicated condition and basically has been quite unlucky with respect to his health.
I said something to him like: “I’m so sorry you’re going through this, I wish you didn’t have to been the hospital!” and he said with zero hesitation: “well, it’s okay, I know that other kids in here have things worse than me.”
YOU GUYS.
I wanted to cry AND also my heart was exploding because how amazing is that? How many adults think that way?
I need to borrow some of his perspective.
On a much (MUUUUCH) less serious note, I had a generous reader/listener (Lisa from Wild Plum Lane – she’s an amazing quilter) offer to mail some planners to new homes (for free) if anyone is interested!
She has the following:
- Fresh Start Daily Goal Planner (has two pages written on, but they are not crucial ones)
- 90-Day Powersheets Goal Planner
- Fresh Start Weekly Goal Planner – Similar to this one, but with flowers on the cover.
- Fitness Workout Journal
If you are interested in any of these, just leave a comment with the ones you are interested in. If you put your email in, it won’t be visible but I can then connect you with Lisa! US addresses only please just as she is not able to mail internationally.
ADDENDUM: Planners are all spoken for (I provided Lisa the info based on first-come-first-serve requests! Thank you all for your interest and I am sure there will be other opportunities in the future!)
