i’m off for beaufort for the aforementioned pharmacology conference, aka pharmtastic!, aka nerd immersion program (nip for short).
goals:
1. try not to fall asleep in more than half of the lectures (and yes, i will be keeping track).
2. try not to be too harsh about the abominable fashions i am likely to see. [after all, as my mother pointed out, einstein wasn’t such a great dresser, you know.]
3. avoid getting sunburnt
4. avoid getting any speeding tickets
5. learn something.
all right, on to miles and miles of I-40, where i can appreciate the beautiful landscape of trashy-looking billboards and multitudes of speeding pickup trucks with pro-bush stickers (if not confederate flags). i think i may need some caffeine.
