16: fun with the PCAT

May 18, 2007

so what i have been doing with the temporary-but-official freedom that comes with a medical school graduation? basking in it? filling it with mundane things that i really need to get on, like getting an NC driver’s license?

nah. instead i’m working full days for kaplan. oh well.

see, i signed up to teach this ‘PCAT boot camp’, not knowing exactly what that would entail except that i would get paid, and paid very nicely. with our languishing finances, it was a no-brainer to take the job. and so now, about 7 years after ever using any chemistry (organic or otherwise), i will be expected to expertly teach this subject (along with verbal ability, writing, reading comp, math, and biology) to a bunch of pharm-D wannabes.

hopefully they won’t be the bloodthirsty types (ahem, duke pre-meds), or it could get interesting.
