Also, new week. Also, new Quintile (official start = June 3, since school ends June 2)!
I am filled with ideas and plans and goals but . . . not very much time to write this morning, due to a 1-hour Beachbody session (starting week #3!) and an earlyish start to the work day, which I will be doing at work because I have some in-person patients. Plus, I am working with a resident.
I realized I never shared the poll results! I only have the free Surveymonkey so I wasn’t able to capture every response, but the first 100 were as follows:
Interesting! I will say that my Friday work-at-home went much better than usual. I was focused on the benefits and really wanted to make things work, so . . . I did.
Also, I do think summer will help. Like many, I plan on having the kids continue some level of academic activity this summer (future post!), but it won’t be as much or as structured as during the school year.
I have a ton of life admin stuff that I could have done yesterday but . . . didn’t. Saturday I managed to fit in 293834 things but yesterday was a bare minimum kind of day. I did grocery shop + made these delicious salmon burgers for dinner though:
Also, I did take the time to make a donation (Josh specifically wanted to give to Colin Kaepernick’s fund, so that’s what we did) and we had an important conversation with the kids about current events and racism. Honestly, I will admit it is NOT something we have focused on enough. I am committed to fixing that.
Onto Monday. And June. I hope this month contains some good things.

I invite you to talk about the state of world and our communities. Especially in a privileged space. We must also do the work. This is coming from a white woman who is raising a black daughter and sees the privilege she gets from being in this world with me. I am constantly learning and striving for better in my own life. Educating. Learning. Listening. Please don’t be afraid to be real here. Unfortunately this is real for so many.
Will you post the recipe for the salmon burgers?? Getting my kids to eat fish is always a challenge.. Have all your kids always eaten fish?
It’s in a cookbook – I’ll take a pic and send it to your email! My kids do not typically mind salmon. But sometimes they get tired of it. They gobbled these!!
Sarah, i would love that recipe too, if you are willing to share it! We are big salmon fans here and would love to serve it a new way.
I can email it to you too!! Tonight 🙂
I would love the salmon burger recipe too please!
I guess we all want the recipe.
I always feel SO accomplished when ALL THREE of mine like the dinner! Long distance high five!
