I was able to get through every item on my list yesterday, and am incredibly happy about it. Seriously. Despite having weekly theoretical non-work days, I don’t feel like I’ve had a day off where I actually DID NOT WORK (including meetings) and did not record multiple BOBW episodes in a long time.
I did take a longish walk with the kids. They made it over 2 miles in FL June heat, which is pretty good! I gave Annabel a B+ and Cameron C+ for degree of complaining which is . . . not bad, considering.
Sightings included: our turtles, this flock of ducklings, and an iguana that C felt absolutely HAD to be captured on film. Plus possibly some snake eggs in a tree stump (but it was too dark to get a good pic).
Today is a 95% GME day (I snuck in one emergency telehealth pt) and I am definitely doing it at work. I have come to the conclusion that for the time being, I am better off physically going into the office. I’d feel differently if I didn’t have to go in to see patients the other 2 days, but I honestly feel like . . . the COVID-19 infection risk is so much higher on my patient days anyway that it’s silly to stay home on the others.
(All that said . . . the numbers are not encouraging. I honestly can’t imagine that I won’t get COVID-19 at some point.)
Anyway. My heart and mind are still reeling with respect to current events, but I feel like I have all of my non-work projects nicely organized and no longer feel terribly behind, and I’m hoping that by the end of today I will feel the same way about work.
BB time.

OMG talk to me about it. Every damn day of this “vacation” has involved some sort of work — research (which, I don’t mind), random admin, a few clinical things. FFS. Gah! Maybe this weekend I can be truly free.
I have felt so overwhelmed the past couple weeks… Haven’t made/found time to read the blog. Glad I read it today, just the picture of your planner page brought me calm… And I am glad I’m not alone with falling behind on things even with time off. Awesome on the family walk, we’ve been trying to get out too and it really helps get the wiggle out 🙂
