Thanksgiving: Scenes + Behind the Scenes

November 26, 2022

Not shown:

Slow burn migraine that lasted from Thursday morning to Friday night (I think I medicated too late. . .)

My pies! They were delicious, as was the rest of Thanksgiving. I was able to enjoy it all despite said migraine. It was lovely to eat a meal without having to pop up 10x to get stuff for the kids. A&C made up their own plates which was a milestone, I think.

Fun dinner (fancy Chinese takeout!) with more immediate family last night. Love that Thanksgiving is definitely not limited to one event in our family. And we have Friendsgiving tonight!

Currently at gymnastics and grateful that they are open today!!! We’ve had a lot of down time so this structure is welcome.

Pix:

these limes were harmed in the making of 3 pies. sorry limes!
Josh has the same look on his face while racing. Neighborhood kids’ turkey trot! He came in 5th and was pretty proud of his accomplishment.
outfits selected by kids @ Target
Annabel took this pic and said my outfit was emo
NEW CURRENT OBSESSION: dominoes.

It was a fun stretch of time overall and I’m glad my migraine is behind me. Onward!

I love the girls’ dresses and am adding them to my cart for Dorothy and Minnie. I would also for sure wear it in my size.

A & G repeatedly picking matching outfits is the SWEETEST THING

They are old Madewell daytrippers- fairly high waisted and stretch. Super comfortable!

Ugh, migraines are the worst. I always dither about taking the meds in case it’s just a normal headache and then regret it.

I’m on an extended work city stint – which led to a last minute pumpkin themed dinner party invite, which was lovely, but I am here to confirm there is such a thing as too much pumpkin. But using the extra time to get my work city room properly clean, do a few Christmas prep bits, a bunch of admin, and go to yoga.
