time to REST

November 23, 2022

Very glad to be done with my call/work stretch. I’ve had 9 days straight of work during which I did question my part time status a bit because OMG – I certainly wasn’t in any way part time during those days! More like >100% time.

However, the weeks ahead are much lighter on the work front and my next call week isn’t until the end of January. Furthermore, I have a solid number of PL days already blocked off in 2023, so there will be plenty of weeks when I only work 1-2 days.

So, it will all even out. I hope.

Today is going to be a very chill day. I slept close to 10 hours, which was amazing. I got my run in and cursed the mid-70s temps and humidity, but survived.

About to go into pie baking mode (key lime x 3!) + hoping to spend most of the afternoon reading my book club book (We Begin at the End by Chris Whitaker, so far pretty good). And maybe working on my 2023 planner stack and thinking about 2023 goals since Laura and I have goal review/2023 goals eps to record next week!

full on cozy mode. ignore the trash on the floor please.

On the world’s most unrelated note, I was inspired by Kae to work increasing protein and this is my new favorite thing:

19g protein and no weird ingredients. The full fat ones are also good and still have a ton of protein!

Black Friday sale note of the day: Erin Condren has 30% off everything. I am planning on using an EC monthly notebook as my goal planner this year – you can snag one at a good deal today! If you’d like to use my code (which gets me a small % of your purchase as credit) it’s here.

PS: This is the closest thing you’ll find to a gift guide from me. You’re welcome 🙂

Haha, your PS is well timed because I visited the site specifically to ask for planner gifting advice! Not sure if you can help because I have limited info, but wanted to ask your planner matchmaking input.

My mother-in-law has requested a “Date book/planner” for Christmas, and I don’t know where to begin, because I don’t know how she plans! I’m guessing that she means a relatively basic calendar + planner, so I was thinking possibly the Moleskine Classic 12 Month 2023 Weekly Planner or something similar. She is a teacher who will be retiring this year, and she is very active in her hobbies and involved in her community. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Oh I wish I liked cottage cheese. Or Greek yogurt. Or any kind of yogurt.

I do not like Greek yogurt at all and am meh about regular yogurt. But – cottage cheese for the win!

Do you eat the cottage cheese plain or with something?
    Happy Thanksgiving!

My personal fav combo is cottage cheese and fresh blueberries. Budget bytes has other ideas too.
