Currently: Hydrating post-warm-&-humid-long-run. I went from hating the taste of NUUN to tolerating it.

= me with hella makeup yesterday for a work (hospital-required) head shot. It looked decent in pix and scary IRL. Made me realize that even though I wear makeup just how minimal my ‘usual’ look is!

*I have spent hundreds less on groceries this month since making the switch from mostly Publix/Whole Foods to mostly TJs. SO SO ANNOYED AT MYSELF for not figuring this out before. We do supplement with a midweek Publix run but still, it’s like $220 vs upwards of $400 for a regular week’s stock up. Also I know so many people love Costco but I don’t think I ever will. And I think TJs prices are better anyway.

We shopped at Costco a ton, especially during the height of Covid since we were eating at home all the time and stuff. Now I go for basics like toilet paper and dog food and not for normal items as much. Once “normal” life resumed and were just a family of 4, we were wasting a ton of food or eating the same thing constantly and the kids hated it. It’s helped a ton.

We had that same realisation re groceries when we moved to shopping at Aldi about 2 years ago from a more expensive option (Coles – we’re in Australia). Saving not just a little bit- but hundreds $$ per month. Shame we didn’t realise earlier but better late than never. 🙂
We just spend what we spend on groceries. It doesn’t matter where we go (Kroger/TJ’s/Costco/Whole Foods, little local place)– it’s all about the same. Blah.
Interesting! I was so surprised at the difference. Do you have an Aldi? I’ve heard it can be next level savings without a big compromise in quality.
We DO, but it’s not very fun to shop, and the store brand stuff is really hit or miss. I do love popping in there for $4 fresh flower bouquets
I do a lot of wfh and zoom meetings and wear a ton of make up (for me) to look presentable. So funny how we look so different on camera than in person. (You look great btw!)
We do about 80% of our shopping at Aldi and it’s comparable in quality to the big supermarkets here, just less variety. We get more exciting things at local farm shops, etc. I like it because it’s super quick, the store doesn’t change things around location wise, you know where things are, and you can be out in 20 minutes or so with the shopping for the week.
I prefer Lidl to Aldi but our local shop is Aldi. Sometimes we do the shopping after swim lessons at a Lidl.
