I met Lisa!
SOOOO much fun to chat with Lisa of Organize 365 fame in person yesterday! She was in town for a conference and suggested we meet up, so I headed to her Fort Lauderdale area hotel around 5 pm. I got to see the ocean (from the pool balcony at least) and we had a fantastic ~1.5 hr chat that felt like it went by in 10 minutes. Lisa just has so many ideas and incredibly valuable experience and I love learning from her!
Speaking of pictures . . .
I have a headshot appointment for tomorrow. Long overdue, I know! I chose a company that wasn’t terribly pricey + comes to the house and even if I don’t love the pictures, they will be updated and better than anything that currently exists! Whenever I am on another podcast I am asked to provide one and have . . . nothing.
And then I am reminded that I *am* really doing this, and I should try to do things on a reasonably professional level.
Even though I have been blogging for nearly 19 years (!) and podcasting for almost 6, 2022 was the first year I had to actually send 1099s to others who had done freelance-type work for me (obviously, I had been receiving them before, but not sending). I hired a writer to help me put together the initial draft materials for BLPA, and a designer to do the graphics and pdfs. It 100% helped to make the program look as polished and cohesive as I believe the content deserves. As good as canva is, I definitely appreciate the difference hiring a true expert can make! And so yeah – it is time for a decent photo. Wish me luck! Will share proofs if I get them 🙂

I definitely read the post name as “Fun Tuesday Exorcism.” Excursion is fun too! 🤣 I’m still using a head shot from…2010 and 2017. Yikes. You are right, investing in yourself in this way makes a lot of sense!

I should have consulted you . . . lol. Will try a few outfits, a Marine Layer colorful dress, jeans and a black boden ‘elevated’ tee, etc . . .
